Making an application
Parents must complete the Local Authority application form, stating three preferences. Parents who wish their application to this Church school to be considered against the faith criteria should also complete the appropriate questions on the common application form. If the school is oversubscribed, a failure to answer these questions may result in your application for a place in this school being considered against lower priority criteria as the Governing Body will have no information upon which to assess the worship attendance.

Why are we consulting?
When changes are proposed to admission arrangements, all Admission Authorities must consult on their admission arrangements that will apply to admission applications for the following school year.
At least every 7 years, Admission Authorities must consult on their admission arrangements; even if there have been no changes during that period.
We would like your views on our proposed admission arrangements for St Matthew’s Church of England Primary School for 2026-27.
Admission Authorities must consult on proposed changes to its admission arrangements for a minimum of six weeks between 1 October (at the earliest) and 31 January (at the latest) in the determination year.
The consultation period for 2026-27 admission arrangements for St Matthew’s Church of England Primary School will run from Monday 9th December 2024 to Friday 31st January 2025.
What are we proposing to change and why?
We are not proposing to make any changes to our admission arrangements.
Who are we consulting with?
We are seeking views from:
- Parents in our borough who have children between the ages of two and eighteen.
- Other persons in our borough who in the opinion of the admission authority believes will have an interest in the proposed admissions;
- All other admission authorities within the borough (except primary schools need not consult secondary schools);
- Governing bodies in the borough (who are not admission authorities);
- Our adjoining/neighbouring local authorities where the admission authority is the local authority;
- The bodies representing the religions/religious denomination of the faith schools in our borough.

This consultation will run from Monday 9th December 2024 to Friday 31st January 2025 (a period of six term time weeks).

Responses must be received no later than 5pm on Friday 31st January 2025. Responses received after this time and date may not be considered.
